The first edition of CityCarSummit will take place in Berlin next March 15th and 16th. This new international forum will bring together engineers and executives from traditional automotive and new mobility entreprises, to share trends, new technologies and methods to re-invent vehicles and associated services for urban mobility. During this conference, Vincent Pilloy will present, for the first time, the “Shared Mobility City Index 2016”. The SMCI is a practical tool for Shared Mobility providers to understand howconsistent and financially viable a city could be for their project. This index is also an interesting benchmarking tool for cities to analyse how attractive they are but also how they can improve to attract more shared mobility service providers.
The SMCI 2016 has been elaborated by Inov360, in partnership with movmi, a North American boutique agency also specialised in Shared Mobility. It covers 56 large cities spanning a geographical coverage from North America to Europe, and benchmarking them along a set of 5 individual index measures: Population density, Commuting Patterns, Sustainability, Shared Mobility and Parking Cost.
